How to Network Your Way into a Job

Imagine you were looking to hire an employee and a respected friend said, "I've just heard that Joe Blow may be available. He's terrific. You should try to get him while you can." If you possibly could use Joe, wouldn't you call him in for an interview? So, as a job seeker, ask everyone in your network if they would let a few potential employers know that you're a great employee and that they should scarf you up while they can. You could end up with a quick job search.
What can you do today?
Make a list of people who like you-from your cousin to your
haircutter-- who might know someone who could hire you.
