An Ahead-of-the-Pack Thank-You Letter
By Marty Nemko
A job-search thank-you letter can do much more than say thank you. For example,
Dear Marilyn,
Thanks for taking the time to talk with me. I know how busy you are. I appreciate your suggesting that I speak with Carol Lloyd. I just left her a voicemail.
I thought a bit about your question, "Why do you use phonics even though it seems boring?" You're right, it's boring to us, but I've found that because it's concrete, slow kids actually like it.
I appreciate your willingness to keep your antennae out for me.
Best regards,
